| The age of consent for women who sleep with women is 16. Before 2001 there was no legislation on the age of consent for lesbians and there was also no legislation criminalising same sex relationships between women. In 2001 the age of consent was lowered from 18 to 16 for gay men, and this new legislation also included lesbian and bisexual women. |
